After publishing about BJP.org not honoring our licence we started receiving mixed responses some of them are below
“Propaganda at a very small level. Free things are not to be given credit”
“Your template price is less than an average BJP workers chappal price”
“Your template price is less than the toilet paper roll”
“This BJP gives more money to beggars every minute than the price of your template.”
So, this blog is for those who think we are running propaganda. BJP’s official site has been down for a while. For whatever reasons. we were happy to see that they were back. Especially since they chose to use one of W3Layout’s Templates. It was bought to our notice by @ashishdevziners on Twitter
We, at W3Layouts, were initially happy and excited that BJP IT cell was using our template, then devastated to see our work being used by BJP removing the backlink without paying, and giving no credit whatsoever to W3Layouts.
The exciting moments for team w3layouts.
While the visible backlinks were removed, it was clear that BJP was still using the W3Layouts code as it was evident in the source code of the page. We took the issue to BJP’s notice through Twitter as we are not able to find the communication details of BJP’s IT team who handles bjp.org
No reply from @BJP4India or BJP’s IT team We didn’t receive any reply – neither from their official Twitter handle, nor from their IT Team. After 4 hours of the initial tweet, they added w3layouts to the footer and were changing it every few minutes.
Meanwhile cleaning the css and other places where ever w3layouts is mentioned. But w3layouts author information is cached in archive.org
After pointing to http:http://www.bjp.org/css/style.css we don’t know what happened they removed everything that belonged to w3layouts from the website and decided to spoil the good-looking webpage by removing our code.
Is it that difficult to acknowledge someone’s work?
How world’s largest and India’s ruling political party plagiarised our work without giving us credit
